- 180g butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 2 cups of plain flour, sifted
- 3/4 cup of caster sugar
- 1/2 cup of cocoa, sifted
Preheat your oven to 180 degrees or 160 degrees fan forced. Line a large baking tray with baking paper. Mix butter, sugar and vanilla until light and creamy with an electric whisk, add the egg and beat until combined. Stir in the flour and cocoa with a wooden spoon. Roll dough into balls and place them on the tray and flatten slightly. Bake for 10-15 minutes.
You can add chocolate chips to the mix or drizzle with melted chocolate once cooled.
